Before Friday night, Lady Gaga was a name I'd heard and only existed at the periphery of my conscience. I knew who she was and had an idea of what she does, but that's about it. Couldn't have named a single song of hers.
Then Friday night Penny Kamplain  brings up some figure skater who does his routine to one of her songs and we watch it and one of her videos on YouTube. Now she's everywhere. Including The New Yorker. WTF?
